A veteran maritime operator, Prince Olusegun Ologbese has commended the Comptroller General of Customs Col. All (rtd) for inspiring his officers and men which has tremendously contributed to improvement in revenue generation as well as combating smuggling in the country making this commendation in Lagos over the weekend was a veteran maritime operations Prince Olusegun.
Ologbese who doubled as chairman Ogbese Maritime Services Ltd and Life Patron of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ondo/Ekiti Council, explained that, the CG and his officers have perform wonderfully well in the area of facilitating of trade and combating the menace of smugglers.
He also pour encomium on Customs Area of the Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Yusuf Ibrahim for the significant contribution in generating a whooping N62, 463,897,919,488.04 into the purse of FG in the month of May.
It was surprised that, within a short period Apapa Command was able to generating as much as N62, 463,897,919,488.04 under the Leadership of Comptroller Yusuf Ibrahim
“Apart from generating the huge revenue, they made seizure of various goods which included that dangerous drugs such as Tramadol, Wood, copper wire which were imported against the Trade guideline of physical policy of Nigeria.
Comptroller Yusuf has promised to eliminate smugglers if they failed to comply with the importation guideline.
Prince Ologbese however urged the Customs management not to close their eyes to the welfare and promotion of these Gallant officers.
