About 500 students have benefited from the free ITME JAMB forms distributed by the representative of Ifako-Ijaye Local Government Constituency 01 at the Lagos State House of Assembly courtesy of his Educational Initiative in his constituency.
This was the second phase of the UTME distribution of forms after its maiden edition in 2021 where over 350 forms were given to the benificiary students.
He also used the occassion to launch ATA Scholars.
Some appreciative parents of beneficiaries were in company of their students to witness this historical educational feat set by the lawmaker in his constituency.
In his welcome address, Adewale thanked the parents for their determination in ensuring that their wards were focused on their studies so that they can succeed and becomes great in life.
He also used the opportunity to charge the students to be focused in the pursuit of their educational career and be the best at all times.
He encouraged them to shun cultism, drugs, and bad company in other to succeed in life.
He emphasized his determination ensure that the students of Ifako-Ijaye become the best while he continues in doing his best by providing necessary supports for their upliftment in the pursuit of their educational career.
Deacon Banjo Omole , the chairman of All Progressive Congress, APC, admonished the students to always work towards the fulfilment of their desire so that their dreams become a reality.
Prince Usman Hamzat, the current Vice-Chairman and his party’s chairmanship flagbearer in the up coming local government election.
He advised the students to make the state lawmaker proud by ensuring that they excel in their examination.
Several other speakers include the former Executive Secretary of Ifako- Ijaiye LGC, Comrade Rotimi Adeleye, Barr Joan Adeboboye, Kabiyesi elect of Iju-Ogundimu expressed their and satisfaction in the performance of Adewale in his educational strides, infrastructural development and other good things he has been doing for the growth and progress of the people of Ifako-Ijaye during his tenure.
Others also showered encomiums on the state lawmaker, saying that the council has never had it so good in terms of representation and determination to ensure that the residents benefitted from the dividends of democracy in all ramification.
The high point of the event was the presentation of scholarship to the best ten outstanding students who wrote the last UTME and got scholarship after they had got admission to different higher institutions in Lagos through the influence and support of their representative at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adewale Temitope.
The students also gave a sterling performance while appreciating Hon Adewale for all that he has done for them while promising to be the best in their studies.
The chief organizer and the principal tutor of ATA Education Initiative, Comrade Kolawole Hassan ( Ababbio) while giving the statistics of the students’ performances in the previous examination assured all those present that Ifako-Ijaye will soon become the reference point in Nigeria and the whole world by becoming the local government with the most educated youths, targeting 70 percent of the population to achieve this feat.
Among the dignitaries present at the events are the chairmanship flagbearer and his Vice, Messrs Prince Usman Hamzat and Toyin Awoniyi-Akerele in the up-coming local government election in July, Dcn Banjo Omole, Barrister Adeboboye, APC woman leader, Alhaja Olayinka Fetuga, Engr Jacob Dada, DPO Iju Divisional Headquarter, Mr. Stephen Gbenga, representative of the MHR Hon. Lukman Adeleye, Oba-elect of Iju Ogundimu, Prince Ogundimu, Comrade Rotimi Adeleye, Iyaloja of Ifako-Ijaye, Chief Mrs. Doyin Coker- Ogunbiyi, the leader of legislative Ifako-Ijaye, Hon Biodun Akinola, all the executives of Ifako Ijaye Local Government, councilors, the party flag bearers, Mr. Fasasi, aka Bachel, and Mr. Onipede (LNSC), the Council of Baale’s, CAN representative in Ifako-Ijaye.
