South-South elder statesman, Mr. Innocent Johnson Akpan advised the federal government to expedite action on the precarious security situation in the country
Speaking with journalists in Lagos Mr Akpan said the crisis between the Fulani herdsmen and the rest of the country should engage the attention of the government so that we can continue to live together as brothers and sisters in a united country.
He said “the killing and rapping of our children should stop so that our people can go back to their farms. We can’t sleep with our two eyes closed again. We are facing war of insecurity in our own fathers land.
He advised the South-South Socio-Cultural Organisation to be transparent. “Member should not say something and have different things in mind. The organization should be transparent, focus, sincere, courageous. “They should have the doctrine of a fighting spirit. I pray that God give the organisation the strength to carry on. I know with time many SSS members will come to join us.
The best thing SSSCIO can do for now is to be focus to be happy to empower the needy, they should be able to remove all our children from the street and slavery, it has become a stigma on us out there, in most cases they will asked me to keep shot is not housemaid your people are doing,
“I want to also advise our people to give birth to the number of children they can cater for so that they can get qualitative education. This will eradicate poverty.
For the founder, SSSCIO, Comrade Dr. Annibest James thanked Mr. Akpan who has been giving financial assistance for the activities of the organization. He urged the South South children to stand on their feet and fight for what rightly belong to them.
