The newly appointed Baale of Oko Oponu, in Isheri area of Lagos State, High Chief Musibau Adisa Adeniyi, has appealed to the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide San-Olu to come their aids in the area road rehabilitation and provision of water.
He said the CDAs and the landlords have been going out of their shell to put things on the table for the residents.
“We have contributed a lot of money in the past to assist the government in that regard, this time around we are begging the government to help us.
“ Our youths are strong and ready to work but that work is not just there for them. I know that most of them will do well in the area of security. If the government is ready to pay them, the issue of insecurity will be over in Oko Oponu here.
“I am using this medium to also beg the state and Federal Government to provide soft loans to our people here because the major job here is farming and every ethnic group in this area are all involved in farming.
Governor Sanwo-Olu and President Muhammadu Buhari should look into this area and settle our farmers. I know that before the end of next year, 30% of Nigeria food production will be coming from Oko Oponu here in Isheri Olofin, Alimosho Local Government of Lagos
He said as the first Baale of the area “I want to beg the Federal Government to look into the security situation and find a lasting solution to it” he added.
