ThBy Joy Enamunae new Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Shippers Council, Hon. Emmanuel Jime has reassured industry players that he and his present management team will ensure the completion of Inland Dry Ports (IDPs), Vehicle Areas,(VTAs) Border Information Centers (BICs) and other projects which his predecessor, Hassan Bello embarked but couldn’t complete before his tenure expired.
Jime gave the assurance at the recently concluded Federal Ministry of Transportation 2020 Ministerial Retreat which was held at Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria.
Accordingly to a release in which a copy was sent to the Reporter’s Diary, and signed by the head of the PR Unit,
Rakiya Zubairu, said: “The agency as Port Economic Regulator had ensured effective regulation at the nation’s seaports”.
While commending the Federal Ministry of Transportation for the retreat, he, stated that the initiative provided a unique opportunity for the maritime agencies and top officials of the Ministry of Transportation to cross-fertilize ideas on projects for the elevation of the maritime sector in Nigeria.
